Inter-cooperation refers to the collaboration among cooperatives of different sectors. In this regard The Charter of Values of cooperation in Trentino reads: ”In order to affirm the cooperative bond, emphasis must be placed on the ability to cooperate rather than on the competition among cooperatives of a same sector, but also ona better integration of services and resources among all cooperatives sectors”.

Lorenzo Ornaghi, already dean of the Catholic University of Milano claims that “a system stands and produces advantages for each of its components when all parts, in addition to the particular interest, are aware of a systemic and general interest”
