It’s a cooperative whose members are farmers: they can associate both for farming activity and for the sale and marketing of products. The first cooperative of labourers was the general Association of labourers of Ravenna, founded in 1883 by Nullo Baldini.

In Trentino one of the most successful and most studied cooperatives of the agricultural sector was the winery in Mezzacorona, thanks to the research work of Andrea Leonardi, professor of historical economics at the University of Trento.
